Hello there!
I’m Dalvin Byron, a painter currently residing in Newton, MA. When I’m not painting, I’m busy teaching and sharing what I know and love about art with the next generation of artists.
The paintings I make are based on the interpretation of my dreams. They are part of an ongoing series that attempts to find traces of identity and memory in the imagery that originated from the unconscious mind.
Sigmund Freud and Carl Jung hypothesized that dreams reveal the very nature of who we truly are - Freud proposing that dreams represent desires and Jung proposing that dreams contain invaluable information about the self.
As I create these paintings, I seek to find connections between each piece in this series - the viewer is invited to infuse each piece with their own meaning.
